Alan Dial, MBA, MS QA | Caldwell Butler

Alan leads strategic continuous improvement campaigns across multi-hospital portfolios in cycle and cost reduction strategies in Surgical and Emergency Services and Labor Management. He is a change agent with experience delivering service line results and managing diverse and geographically decentralized operations footprint in the continuous improvement disciplines of Lean and Six Sigma.

Prior to Alan’s tenure in healthcare, he served over 20 years of distinguished civilian and military operations improvement and executive management with strong productivity and margin delivery. He served across multiple operating environments including manufacturing, service, transactional and commercial operations with a core background in nuclear engineering and commercial power plant operations and management. Alan has served as an ISO 9000 Auditor and a Quality Manager for a GE business as well as a Global Product Leader for a Gas Turbine product line with a portfolio presence in Hungary, India, Japan and a domestic Center of Excellence in Florida. Prior to his civilian career, Alan served in the US Navy as a Nuclear Power Plant Senior Operator and Master Trainer.

Strong Educational Foundation

Complementing Alan’s work experience is a strong educational foundation. In 1999, Alan graduated from the New School University, Milano School of Business with a B.S. in Business Administration. Alan also holds an MBA with a specialization in Project Management and an M.S. in Quality Assurance from the School of Engineering Technology and Management at Southern Polytechnics State University in Marietta, GA. Alan is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
