Mindy Shikiar, RN, MSN, MBA | Caldwell Butler

Mindy Shikiar has more than 30 years of progressive health care experience starting as a registered nurse, evolving her career into healthcare administration in diverse hospital and healthcare settings. She is the recipient of numerous leadership awards and top performance recognition.

Mindy most recently served as the COO at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, a division of Baptist South, Florida. From 2003 through 2021, she held various leadership positions including Executive Director of Quality Effectiveness and Vice President of Clinical Operations. As COO she had executive oversight of hospital operations including Oncology, Neurology, Ancillary Services, and Ambulatory Services.

Prior to joining the hospital, Mindy served as CEO and COO of Kindred, a long-term acute care facility for critically ill/medically complex patients in Fort Lauderdale.

Her healthcare career is comprised of numerous nursing leadership positions including s Nurse Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Director of Quality and Case Management.

In 2014, Caldwell Butler began an engagement with Boca Raton Regional Hospital that was extremely successful. After completing a 4-year engagement, the hospital continued to utilize the Caldwell Butler tools and completed 3 more years of 100-day work outs by developing a team of leaders to oversee the efforts. In total, the 395 bed organization completed 10,212 plans with validated savings of over $19M. Mindy experienced first-hand the impact Caldwell Butler had on her hospital and, as a result, will be able to guide other leadership teams in achieving their desired outcomes.

Mindy is a licensed registered nurse and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She is a Board Member of the HabCenter that provides training and jobs for adults with cognitive disabilities. Mindy has a 20-year-old daughter she adopted from Russia. She resides in South Florida with her life partner, her 91-year-old step-father, two dogs, and one cat.
