Amy Johnson is a nursing executive of 30 years with accelerated health care experience and knowledge. Starting as a bed side nurse and quickly advancing to various leadership and executive roles, Amy’s transformational leadership style has improved hospital quality, nursing, and strategic operational outcomes.
Amy is an expert in leadership, process change and quality improvement. She has experience working in both small rural community non-profit hospitals as well as large for-profit multi-system organizations. With a history of consulting in supply chain, productivity, and rapid change management, Amy brings a variety of process innovation and implementation strategies that can be used in a mixture of healthcare settings. Amy has developed and advanced clinical resource tools and initiatives that enhance performance and clinical quality outcomes. Amy not only spearheads initiatives that have increased patient satisfaction scores and employee retention, but she also brings the wisdom that adds value for sustainability.

Prior to joining Caldwell Butler, Amy has served in multiple roles as a nursing leader. Most recently, Amy was a nursing professor in a newly launched pre-licensure accelerated baccalaureate program. Amy has also served as a Divisional Director of Quality Improvement and Nursing Clinical Operations for a large for-profit organization. As a Chief Nursing Officer in a rural community, Amy facilitated the hospital to reach top quality patient outcomes, reduce staff turnover and the successful opening of several diagnostic procedural services in Paris Tennessee.
Amy Johnson holds an MSN in Nursing Leadership from the University of Central Fl., and an MBA from St. Leo University in St. Leo Fl. Amy received her undergraduate degree the University of Florida and is currently pursuing her DNP in Visionary Nursing Leadership. She currently lives in Florida with her two children.
